DUTERTE, SHAME ON YOU!

I am posting this link here so that we will never forget that we have politicians who feel that they can get away with anything.

Remember, the end does not justify the means.

  2. There are worst politicians than Mayor Duterte.... people of Davao loves her coz she knows how to protect her people..... may mga politicians na nananakit ng walang dahilan, di lang nakukunan ng camera, nagkataon na si Mayor ang nakunan ng camera..... she's not a bad person.....

  3. Yeah, we should never forget this. Leading by example. In this case the end justify the means.

  4. by the way, it's Duterte not Duerte

  5. with the attitude and mentality of filipinos we need this kind of leaders: tough and iron-clad (read "from 3rd world to first world" by lee kaun yew)

  6. may mga politicians na nananakit ng walang dahilan, di lang nakukunan ng camera, nagkataon na si Mayor ang nakunan ng camera..... she's not a bad person..... - I AGREE!

I'm sure she meant well. She was just after the welfare of the majority.
Angelicopter, I hope you read/watched the whole story about this. She was just asking for 2 extra hours before the demolition. 2 HOURS! The Sheriff didn't want to give that. If you were the mayor at kailangan mo problemahin ang dami ng namatay sa flash flood at ang iba pa na walang matirhan pagkatapos nun may isang sheriff na maski 2 oras hindi maibigay... I'm sure if you were present in that momentor if you were in her place , naki-suntok ka din.

  7. I agree to all u guys!,sana pinagbigyan nila yung request ni mayor, tutal 2 hours lang pala eh ano ba naman yun..

  8. Sometimes the end DOES justify the means. I'd rather have someone like Mayor Duterte behind my back rather than bunch of men. - TRUE!

first time to watch this video and i have to agree with the comments posted above. yes, what she did was wrong, but couldn't help but commend her for having the "balls" to protect her people.

  9. ang dami ng prublema sa Davao, nakisabayan pa ang demolition..... kung sa ibang nangyari yan baka di lang suntok ang inabot ng Sheriff na yun..... what is two hours na hinihingi ni Mayor?

    ReplyDelete
  10. kung ibang mayor yan... or congressman or whatever, at walang camera, malamang yan binaril pa.

oo me mali sa gnwa nya dhil isa xang pulitiko pero Sometimes doin' the right thing, ain't doin the right thing.

  12. Excellent analysis of Mayor Duterte's attack vs. Sheriff by no less than Prof. Randy David. Very insightful and critical http://t.co/xzkSIEo

  14. Are you even thinking right? for someone who is in the broadcasting industry, you should weight the situation also and not take sides and should know better. You should think responsibly and post more meaningful blogs. many young people (your listeners, i for one am a listener of your show) are looking up to you guys. this is definitely an all time low for you. I like your attitude when i first heard you on radio but now. i am having second thoughts. Well i guess this is your opinion, but again you should watch what your posts.

Duterte made that mistake, but I think she knew the consequences of her action. She didn't care. All she care about are the people. Getting away with it? haha! most likely she didn't even bother thinking about it also.

Kung ikaw ba, naagrabyado ang anak mo. Ano ang gagawin mo in the heat of the moment? would you think rational? i don't think so.

  15. "halika, halika...." *SUCKERPUNCH*!

    What a loser move

    ReplyDelete
  16. true... you should have weighed the situation first. and you should never be bias over an issue. especially something as big as this. otherwise, you should probably just stay away from the broadcasting industry.

yes, you are a dj and not a newscaster, but still. you are a very smart girl Angelicopter. and i love you to bits. been watching out for you since the time you were still a good times caller until you became a big personality... but then, you i think you should start monitoring your thoughts that you verbalize and your attitude. sometimes it's not funny or nice anymore. remember you are not Mo Twister. Mo can get away with posts like this because he has already established that reputation and that's what people love about him... But I dont even think that Mo will post something like this. He even tweeted about it that his thoughts are divided on this issue and he asked the people's opinion instead... Maybe you should do that next time.

I still love you Angelicopter. But I think you should start reconsidering what you are doing/saying/writing because you are losing fans. Seriously. And I think that's the most important part about being a celebrity. When you're a normal person, you dont have to be a pleaser, but if you are a celebrity you should.

And for Mayor Duterte, I totally like what she did. She's very courageous and she looks after her people's welfare.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  18. I think all you people that support what she did are forgetting the fact that the squatters - like all so-called "informal settlements" - are there illegally.

In effect, she was actually defending something illegal. A 2-hour reprieve? Why didn't she bother to challenge the demolition in court when the case was being deliberated?

What is it with this admiration for taking the law into our own hands? When we start thinking we are above the law, suddenly we can also decide what is good and evil. It's a power trip down a certain road paved with good intentions.

    ReplyDelete
  19. what the...Lee Kuan Yew...LOL

  20. Before I post my comment on this issue, I would like to hear first what the views of the blog owner since she seems to have a different view as compared to most of those who posted on her blog.

Ms. Angelicopter, i would assume that that you have a lot of information to share among your followers since you came up with the title "Duterte, Shame On YOU!". For someone to come up with such only means they have factual information about the issue or perhaps a more detailed information that is not known to us followers.

Kindly enlighten us on this please.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Good Job Duterte!!! Angelica, you really should know the story first before you post these things... Ganda mo nga sana, kaya lang... hmm.. The sheriff got what he deserved. Protecting her people was Duterte's primary concern to stop bloodshed from demoloshing the squatter area... and Yes sometimes we should take the law into our hands coz when you leave everything with the govt. nothing will happen. Squatters are still people and they still have rights they may be illegal settlers but Duterte never said the demolition should stop, just give 2 hours so people maybe could pack and get ready... Never discriminate the less fortunate people, sometimes they work more as we do.

    ReplyDelete
  23. And for this post I'm unfollowing you. Shame on you Angelicopter!

    ReplyDelete
  24. I wish metro manila mayors are this tough! Question #1: Have you tried living in davao angelicopter? Question #2: then why THE HELL WOULD YOU POST SOMETHING LIKE THIS? Major major fail this one.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ang kuneksyun ni lee kuan yew dito at dahil meron nag post na 'with rhe attitude and mentality of filipinos...." we need toufh and iron-clad leaders daw na tulad ni Duterte ba nananapak. Tapos
Naiindihan mo ba?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Angelicopter...I’m a bit disappointed with you since was expecting that you already have an answer to my earlier post. Your followers here are all eagerly waiting for your own views for posting such and for using that title.
We want to know if you have a basis for doing so and for us to be enlightened as well. Not unless you are just trying to ride on the popularity of this topic/issue and wants to catch attention...then that's a different story altogether.

For the person who posted about the issue on Mayor Duterte's knowledge about the squaters in the area. Yes the Mayor is aware of the situation and yes she is doing something about this. In fact, the reason why she wanted for the Sheriff to wait for her is for the demolition to be made in an orderly manner. There are some informal settlers in the area that have been given a new place to occupy and what the Mayor’s intention was for the demolition team to first prioritize those who have allocations already to prevent chaos in the process. But the poor sheriff didn’t even consider this request and proceeded with the demolition.

Now going back to Ms. Angelicopter, we all know that you have a pretty face, now please show us that you also have the brains by explaining your own views on this issue and not just trying to get a free ride.

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  28. Comments on the last post. There is a plan for the relocation of these informal settlers and part of the plan was to relocate first those who have lot allocations then followed by those who will be allocated new lots to settle on.

The Mayor's team already have that list the I believe that the reason why the Mayor was asking for a 2-hour grace period was for them to discuss the order or demolition.

The only problem was the sheriff who initiated the demolition didn't listen to the request from the Mayor. If you were watching the news and if you were reading articles on this (and kept an open mind in the process) you should be aware of the above by now.

Now going back to Ms. Angelicopter...we are still waiting for your reply to previous posts?. Please prove to everyone that you are not just a pretty face and that there is something in between those lovely pair of ears :-)

    ReplyDelete
  29. i'm an avid fan of angelicopter and i'm totally waiting for her reaction on people's comments... it would super just be irresponsible journalism/blogging or whatever when you post something like this then don't clarify or protect your opinion after that...

i understand that she has the right to her own opinion anyway she just posted this on her blog and not on radio... but the point is, thousands of people read this blog. still...be responsible angelicopter.

i soooo wanna remain your fan so please please explain your side on why you posted this.

    ReplyDelete
  30. ...tumpak...hindi yung sasakay ka lang sa issue just for the purpose na gusto mo lang pag-usapan ka or mas lalo ka lang sumikat. Walang pinagkaiba yan nung NBA finals diba, the Angelicopter was like cheering for one team na yun pala eh hindi naman talaga sya fan ng team and hindi naman sya talaga follower ng NBA games.

Sumasakay lang sya sa issue and sa kung ano ang uso at that time. Wag naman ganun Angelicopter, people are following you not just because your pretty but they also assume that you have the brains. Ikaw din baka mabawasan endorsements mo if you cannot even explain your side on this issue. Who would want to have an endorser na walang laman or sustansya ang utak.

Don't disappoint your followers and most of all, wag kang sakay ng sakay sa issue kung hindi mo naman alam ang punot dulo kasi magmumuka ka lang tanga, sayang ang ganda mo pa naman sana.

    ReplyDelete
  31. In connection to the previous 2 posts, that’s precisely the reason why I wanted Ms. Angelicopter to air her side on the story that she posted. I believe that as the site owner she should be able to explain her position on this.

As responsible blogger (specially if you’re someone that people look up to) should have the decency to explain your side and not just create a topic and leave it hanging. This is not like the items that you endorse / sell on your blog. This issue is so sensitive that your opinion should be backed up with concrete and factual information.

So…Ms. Angelicopter…we are all eagerly awaiting for your views on the subject that you yourself created. I just wish that you have something intelligent to share with all your followers on this since I really hate to see you loose a good number of them for not acting on this one :-)

    ReplyDelete

- correct! kasi naman pag ganito you use your thinking mind... sinimulan mo sa opinion, tapusin mo sa opinion. hindi na sya makakapag-state ng facts to cover her mistake kasi there's no way na talaga....

in fairness to angelicopter, she's a really smart girl. she won't get into radio if not. she won't even last for quite some time kung stupid sya. i just PERSONALLY think she is too LOUD. in short, KSP... and yes, even baka nakikisakay sa issue to be talked about. naman angelica.... hindi ka pa super duper sikat para lumevel sa mga super sikat. hinay hinay lang, baka hindi pa man mataas gaano naabot mo lumagapak ka na ng todo..

sobrang gustong gusto kita. please lang mag-start ka na mag-explain. i don't want to unfollow or dislike you!

  34. @twitter, "angelicopter899 - Inside a hotel suite where I'm supposed to kill time before the event. Should've brought my girls with me to party in the room. ;)"

her twitter update is stated above, i guess she can kill time reading all our reaction to this very timely topic. tsk!

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hey there buddy, I suggest that you reply to her twitter post and tell her na sumagot muna dito sa blog nya at wag puro sarap lang sya. Every minute that she ignores the people here eh lalo nababawasan followers nya baka kamo maubos na...hahahaha

    ReplyDelete
  36. Everyone is entitle to their opinion, but if Angelicopter feels strongly about her opinion..she should follow through by answering the comments on this blog.

I'm starting to feel you dont know what you're talking about hence the silence.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hmmm, I think that Ms. Angelicopter here really doesn't know what she got into. Worse is that she doesn't know what she's talking about when she posted this in her site.

Ms. Angelicopter, since you are not able to back up (yet) your post with factual and accurate information, let me give you some of mine.

Did you know that next to Manila, Davao is the second largest City in the Philippines in terms of population which is around 1,212,504 as of the last count and Cebu is third with a total of around 798,634 as of the last count. Now that would be around 2,011,138 total.

Now assuming your followers from these two key cities is around 5% or around 100,556 (this is already a generous number I assume) and now because of this, your popularity begins to sag and 10% of the total population starts hating you and you also loose a portion of the 5% who are initially following you...now you do the math..not good right?

Now that's factual and accurate information for you Ms. Angelicopter :-)

    ReplyDelete
  38. I just find it interesting, I noticed that when Angelicopter posted her latest blog over twitter and FB this morning, there was no follow up posting from the Magic899 twitter and FB accounts(which is usually there whenever Angelicopter posts something on her blog).

Could it be that Magic899 doesn't agree on her new post as well and thus the absence of a follow-up post? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  39. maybe she's still busy or maybe nag iisip na siya kung ano ang isasagot sa atin.... kase napansin ko kanina mali ang inilagay niyang name sa blog niya, Duerte instead of Duterte.... then pinalitan na niya..... Oh Angelicopter, we need your answer to all our questions, you better start searching for good answers to convince us na may alam ka sa mga nangyayari sa paligid mo....

    ReplyDelete
  40. Well I find it useless at this point kung ngayon pa sya sasagot since we all know that by this time eh sobrang dami na nya natanungan about the issue and that nagbasa na din yan sa ibang sites about the topic. Baka nga ang gawin nyan if ever sasagot yan eh copy-paste na lang from other sites hehehehe

Tsk Tsk Tsk...sayang naman, its would have been a good opportunity for her sana to prove to everyone that she's not all beauty :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. potpot yan, malamang kung may oorder sa inyo dito nung binebenta nya na BB cream eh baka sakaling sumagot pa yan bwahahahaha

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mga tol don't worry na-capture ko naman ang mga nilalaman ng topic na ito up to this post.

If ever burahin nya ito, we can always remind her by re-posting the deleted topic and remind her na meron pa syang utang na kasagutan sa mga followers nya :-)

  46. what a loser post by Anglicopter!!!

    ReplyDelete

Im not from Davao but I heard a lot of good things that the Duterte family has done for Davao. They deserve more respect than this.

Last na lang, kung in person kaya masasabi mo yan to Mayor Duterte's face? Shame on you? Yun ang isipin mo bago ka magsulat... Kung kaya mo yan sabihin to someone's face.

if you will ask me, itong sinulat ko ngayon... YES i can say it to your face. because i like you a lot. and i hate seeing you going to this direction.

    -concerned friend.

    ReplyDelete
  48. if the person who help you with your fame @djmotwister, made a reservation on his opinion about the davao mayor incident, your small mind just blurt out with out thinking........what a loser!!!!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Ms. Angelicopter. As an avid follower I think I share the sentiments of the people who are following not just your Blog but your radio program as well. We are greatly disappointed not getting any response from your end to clarify your position on the Duterte issue that you yourself started on your blog.

If you expect people to respect your opinion I believe that you should also give respect back by clarifying your side (I believe that’s not much to ask for). But what do you do?, you continue to ignore the people who are religiously following you, the very same people who are supporting you and your career. This is no way to treat people specially if your just starting up with your chosen career. SHAME ON YOU for doing such.

    ReplyDelete
  50. I agree with the last post, how can you expect people to respect you if you do not even respect the very same people who support you.

Now let me ask your supporters this, will you continue to support Ms. Angelicopter despite all this? If your were to ask me my answer is a big HELL NO!!!

So Ms. Angelicopter, I would suggest that you just close this Blog site of yours if you can't even defend your position on the issue at hand. There is no point maintaining this site if you as the blog owner only uses the site to advertise products that you want to sell, there are other site for doing that.

To the Management of Magic899, would you still want to continuously employ someone like Ms. Angelicopter who can't even pay attention to what her supporters are demanding for? Someone who is not responsible enough to clarify things when they need clarifying? Better think about this before you start loosing supporters for your radio program.

  52. I said my piece on air! Thanks guys! =)

    ReplyDelete
  53. meh..you should post it here. Not everyone listens to the show specially if Mo is not around. Stop hiding behind Mojo Jojo who keeps cutting callers off...what a prick.

Grace Lee...doing a great job in Mo's absence. You and Jojo...not so much. *smh*

    ReplyDelete
  54. yup you should have written your explanation here. not on air. not everyone is up and listening during that time of the day. every single day. do you really want your "fans" and followers not to change their mind about this? don't you really care at all?

    ReplyDelete
  55. It's so irresponsible of you not to respond here on your blog. We waited 2 days for your response and you just said it on air when in fact not everyone is listening to your show. Might as well close this blog. Do you expect us to listen to your show and said your piece when you ignored us after creating this post.

    ReplyDelete
  56. on air? you got to be kidding me. Yeah you can explain yourself on air. but this is where (blog) you are accounted for, so you must explain it here.

And as for the post above, +1. if you can account the number of followers who unfollowed you on twitter then you can imagine how much listeners you have lost in the span of 2 days. look the big picture (not your pic on edsa pls.) cmon!

    ReplyDelete
  57. hahaha....this DJ dont have balls to backup her post.

    ReplyDelete
  58. it's about time... who has time to create an fb fan page? MAKE GOOD TIMES BETTER: TAKE ANGELICOPTER OFF THE AIR. would love to be the one to do it kaya lang busy!

hay naku! ito sinasabi ko nun isang araw pa eh. ako sobrang fan na nga ako ni angelicopter pero nawawalan ako talaga ng gana after this. sabay on air ang explanation? SUS NAMAN! kamusta naman yun eh dito sa blog nga pinost eh di dito mag-explain? OR sana nirecord mo explanation mo at pinostmo dito ang recording! pano pa kaya nag mga hindi mo gaano fans eh di wala na sila ngayon. grabe to angelica... do something about this. wag ka magduwag-duwagan. tapang tapang mo magsabi ng shame on you kay duterte sabay ngayon di makasagot in writing.

  59. I like that the mayor is passionate about her people in Davao but the same with Chopper, I got pissed with the slap and dirty finger of her dad. They went overboard as public figures.

Politics aside, I don't hate Chopper as much the rest of you here do but her voice quality is just annoying on the radio. The screechings and breathy high pitches...

But despite of it all, I listen to Good Times daily, no miss!

  61. She is a mayor, and she should have do it in a respectful manner..kahit na sabihin pa natin na pinagtatanggol nya ung mga tao, it's not a good way..it's not a role model..bring the justice in your hands, literally..hahaha! err..way to go! :|

    ReplyDelete
  62. Yuh right... We should look deep on the cause of all these occurrences. Lemme start from the very surface:

First, Mayor Duterte hit the sheriff.
WHY? She was protecting the people (as all of you may say).

Second: The demolition team has an operation on the area based on a court order issued last June 23, 2011.
WHY? Obviously because they are indeed SQUATTERS.

How may years have they been living there ILLEGALLY... Huh??? Mayor Duterte must've thought of settling this issue way before this thing happened, right?!

As for me, MAYOR DUTERTE IS JUST TRYING TO MAKE A SCENE SO AS TO MAKE HER LOOK VERY COMPASSIONATE WITH THE PEOPLE... PLASTIK! Nice move Mayor, but it's kinda obvious *wink*.

Way to go Angelicopter! Good times ^.^

    ReplyDelete
  63. I have not heard her explanation since I turn off the radio when Mo is not around. LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  64. what was the sheriff's reason for disobeying the mayor anyway?

    ReplyDelete
  65. gosh.. you people are crazy, Mayor duterte is a really caring leader, may ibang politicians ba na kayang manapak ng SHITriff para lang sa dalwang oras na palugit, knowing that there are cameras around?, knowing na masama ung manapak, besides, lalake naman ung sheriff, cguro kung ndi mayor si duterte ngaun malamang pinatulan na niya, tandaan nating lahat "ISINALALAY NI MAYOR DUTERTE ANG REPUTASYON, CREDIBILIDAD, AT IMAHE NIYA PARA SA DALWANG(2) ORAS NA PALUGIT NA HINIHINGI NIYA"--

    ReplyDelete
  66. Mayor Duterte must've thought of settling this issue way before this thing happened, right?!

Obviously the sheriff was at fault! Mayor was at fault for hitting becuase there's never a good excuse, but for real, put yourself in her shoes.!

DEAR put yourself in the shoes of the true & legal owners of that property! I won't think you'll play the Good Samaritan, cause even just the idea would sound so hypocrite. This issue was long, long been deliberated in court... Way before "bumaha or madaming namatay & nawalan ng bahay" issue of the province. ReplyDelete
  69. rules are rules! i don't care about the 2 hours or even 1 minute or even a second, if rules are broken why are they still made...

duterte gathered enough praises and had her 15 minutes of fame especially from the media and the indios.

granting 2 hours was given, it will multiply by 2 and more, thats how pinoys are...

everybody and everything fails in this nation, and the 2 hours is just plain stupidity!

  70. "rules are rules! i don't care about the 2 hours or even 1 minute or even a second, if rules are broken why are they still made..."

in every rule there's an exception. 2 hours extension so the people can move out before they demolished their houses is NOT breaking the rule. You are showing compassion for these people.

IF duterte did NOT let the sheriff demolished those houses within a day and for eternity..THEN that is breaking the rule.

    Huge difference buddy.

  71. She's still a bad mayor and using their political name to rule! If she can do it in front of the camera then how much she can do behind it?!?!?!

  72. And it's her father's gain now. Her dad is now the acting mayor and was very planned accordingly! Good job!

  73. Well, the Duterte's just showed us how GREAT?! leaders they are. Doing dirty fingers on a press con. I couldn't imagine having a president doing such thing, if those kind of leaders you would want for this country. (Chopper it's okay. You'll still be adored.)

  75. "ISINALALAY NI MAYOR DUTERTE ANG REPUTASYON, CREDIBILIDAD, AT IMAHE NIYA" haha I doubt naisip nya ang lahat yan. Pero don't give bs reasons for an action. We humans sometimes act on impulse out of rage or defense. This is one good example. So you can't say na she is willing to sacrifice yadah yadah. She acted before she thought. Tao lang din siya. Not taking sides. Just saying to this person that this claim is nonsense.
